Denim on denim is an easy outfit to put on and feel put together. The main thing is to have different shades or textures within the outfit. The red lip adds something special to the outfit and adds a nice contrast feminine to the masculine denim. These jeans were a great buy from Zara, they look exactly like my vintage Levis but fit a little bit better.

As fall is approaching it's time to start thinking about what to wear when the temperatures drop. A good layering piece to have for the season coming up is a white turtle neck, this one from Mango is at a great price. I love the soft mix of blush and white with the grey denim and a neutral bag and sunglasses. Another big trend for fall is the pointed flat, these ones come in a crocodile finish which is even more on trend but are classic enough that they will stay in your closet for a long time.

I am so excited for September 14th when Altuzarra for Target hits stores and being very hopeful that a Target near me will carry the collaboration. I tend to gravitate towards menswear inspired looks with simple, minimalist styling. Wearing a crop top under a blazer is a nice way to try the trend but still feel comfortable and add a little femininity to a suit. When I first bought these Tod's loafers, they were on sale and kind of an impulse purchase. I wasn't sure how much I would wear them but I have been surprised how they go with everything, for every season and I find myself always wanting to wear them. Loafers are definitely a shoe I would recommend investing in. I styled them with a more casual outfit here. Also, for anyone who likes a good bargain, make sure you check out Winners, I found this blazer on sale for 70$!

I've been looking for a paisley printed shirt for a while and haven't been able to find the perfect one but absolutely love the print of this dress. The round ray-bans are a recent obsession with everyone I see wearing them making me want them a little more each time. I guess you can never go wrong with Ray Bans and I think they look classic but fun and add a cool vibe to a minimalist wardrobe like mine. Knitwear is a huge trend for fall that I'm very excited about, I would love this ribbed sweater to wear with pretty much anything.

I don't usually wear a red lip but thought it would be a good way to dress up an all white, causal summer look and add a pop of colour. This Revlon shade is perfect, matte and bold but not too warm or cool. I love the texture of this waffle knit sweater and the deep V-neck when its zipped (here). With knitwear being such a big trend for fall I'm sure I will get a lot of use out of it in the upcoming months.

I've been on the hunt for a vintage scarf lately, ever since I saw the Celine (here), but wanting to find some less expensive options so I could try a few out. I found these ones at Value Village for a couple dollars each. They're a cool way to add personality to an outfit without spending too much and you can use them in so many different ways.

I really like the combination of luxe materials, like the crocodile leather Zara bag and loafers with a worn in denim. The nude coloured shorts and top also would look cool with the denim and are a nice backdrop to let the accessories stand out.

The perfect match for a rainy day inside when you want to be comfortable, a slip dress and sweatshirt. My dog Bentley has to wear this cone on his head and wanted in on a picture, how could I say no! This sweatshirt is from Aritzia by a company called Community, I just found their clothing and really like it. They have a lot of nice basics that fit well and are at a good price point.

I just picked these shorts up on the weekend at Winners. I wasn't sure if I should get them or not but I'm so happy I did. They are very oversized and so comfortable, perfect with a crop top because they are high waisted. The Madden Girl shoes I'm wearing I found on sale after looking for a budget friendly version of the Stuart Wietzman 'nudist' so these were perfect, I love all the sales this time of year!

STATEMENT EARRING

A trend I've noticed lately is the statement earring, sometimes just the one earring itself. It has definitely grown on me, maybe not the single earring just yet but these Marni ones are gorgeous, and subtle enough for me. Paired with this beautiful strapless top and some vintage Levis, they would look perfect!
