Maybe its being a little optimistic but this weeks weather has me hopeful that Spring is right around the corner. Although its not the nicest looking outside while the snow melts, I can't say I am sad to see it go and to see the sun again. Canadian winters are usually long and harsh so when March comes around and the temperatures start to rise it is definitely welcomed by most people. This Zara coat I had altered and had the collar removed (it used to look like this). It suits my style much better now but I still have to find a button or closure to add to it. 

FLASHBACK FRIDAY

I cannot wait until summer and warmer temperatures where I can walk around in sandals and a dress. This is usually the time of year start getting sick of the Canadian winter and am ready for summer. This Toteme dress is one of my favourites, its so comfortable and doesn't take any effort to wear, I especially love the fabric and high slits on each side.

This photo is from a vacation I took last December to Arizona. It was taken on a road trip near Sedona and the scenery was too beautiful not stop, walk around and take a photo. I love it in Arizona, there is so much to do and see and it's close to a lot of different vacation spots, hopefully I will be back soon! More of my old photos here,  here and here. EMBRIODERED BOMBER

Recently embroidered bomber jackets seem to be everywhere in all different fabrics and colours.  I fell in love with them because of their uniqueness and sporty vibe and especially after seeing Kate Moss wear a pink one, here. I found this one at Zara and waited for the year end sale to purchase it which has sold out now but here is a great velvet option from Mango, and here are some that Who What Wear picked.

I just picked up this suede coat from H&M and am loving the soft colour and cropped sleeves. Another bonus, it is reversible with the other side being a soft teddy fabric in the same colour. I paired it with these distressed jeans I bought from the Zara sale a few months ago and my favourite vintage boots.

Usually I pick up at least one bathing suit every summer and this year I decided to try ordering through Solid & Striped during their July 4th sale. I ordered this one piece and the Morgan bikini (here), after seeing it on Hilary Rhoda, who has recently designed a capsule collection with her boyfriend Sean Avery (here). I fell in love with the vintage vibe with large stripes in classic colours and a low back.  The pictures where these are taken is at a property my partner and I recently purchased and are currently renovating the cabin that is on it. I can't wait to show you before and after pictures once it's all finished, thank you Ikea!

MONOCHROMATIC DENIM

I found this sweater at Winners the other day and have been pretty well living in it ever since. The colour of blue is perfect for combining with vintage denim, which I seem to gravitate towards, and gives a monochromatic, denim on denim feel with a different texture and a casual vibe. To dress it up, I wore these ladder strap flats, an oversized clutch and braided, vintage belt.
