I saw a picture of someone wearing an outfit like this and loved the mix of red, vintage denim and black. I've been seeing this shade of bright, poppy red a lot lately and really love it. You could also wear it with a midi skirt in the same shade for an eye catching look.

HIGH STREET FAVOURITE

Coat / Zara

I've been looking for a coat like this for a while, a longer style in a camel colour with a relaxed shape and belted around the waist. Zara comes out with the most incredible pieces at reasonable prices!

My absolute favourite piece of clothing to wear for fall is a leather jacket. It makes every outfit look edgy and you can wear it with anything from jeans and a tee to a feminine dress for a contrast, definetly a good piece to invest in.

EARLY FALL

Boots / Stuart Weitzman, Shorts / Vintage Levis, Sweater / Forever 21(similar), Backpack / Forever 21, Hat / Rag & Bone

Levis cutoffs and over the knee boots are a nice combination for the changing weather. To keep it from looking too over the top I paired it with a knit and my favourite hat from Rag&Bone.

Fall Minimalism

Skirt - I love the shade of this skirt, it's a beautiful rich, neutral for fall. The modest midi length combined with a high slit makes it feel very fresh and modern.
Shoes - These are the perfect shape bootie, they hit the ankle at the right spot and I love a pointed toe.
Knit - Fall is all about cozy knitwear, even more this year than others. A high neck in white, combined with a waffle knit feels like the perfect sweater for the season.

WHAT I WORE: FOLK FESTIVAL

The small town where I grew up, consisting of about fifty people, holds a folk festival every year where thousands of people come listen to good music and camp for a weekend. This year the weather wasn't ideal but that didn't stop anyone from dancing and having a great time!

ALTUZARRA FOR TARGET IS HERE

Booties / Altuzarra for Target

I just picked up these booties from Target and they are the perfect fall boot. The croc effect is what I like so much about them as well as the lace up detail, they are also very comfortable and easy to walk in. I cannot wait to do a post wearing them!

A camel coat is high on my wish list as the temperature starts to drop in Canada. There's something so chic about the colour and it is just as versatile as any other neutral but more eye catching and a little dressier than a black or navy coat. I love this ones minimal design and deeper shade. The pointed loafers, oversized clutch and simple dress in black is a nice way to let the coat stand out.

FALL TREND:THE BACKPACK

Backpack / Forever 21

I found this backpack a while ago (here), it's still sold out online but I found it in store. Swapping your purse for a backpack is a big trend for fall and really practical, I almost prefer carrying backpack. There are so many nice ones available but this one is very affordable and looks a lot more expensive than it is.

DOUBLE DENIM

Chambray shirt / Zara, Denim / Zara, Shoes / Madden Girl

Denim on denim is an easy outfit to put on and feel put together. The main thing is to have different shades or textures within the outfit. The red lip adds something special to the outfit and adds a nice contrast feminine to the masculine denim. These jeans were a great buy from Zara, they look exactly like my vintage Levis but fit a little bit better.
